Itinerary
Begin your journey with a scenic drive (or domestic flight option) from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi. Travel through Uganda’s picturesque countryside, with views of terraced hills, rural villages, and the dramatic Kigezi Highlands. Arrive at your lodge nestled on the forest edge and enjoy a relaxed evening preparing for your trek.
After an early breakfast, join Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers for a safety briefing before venturing deep into the jungle in search of a gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat—a truly humbling and emotional experience. Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a last look at the misty forest before beginning your journey back. Optional cultural encounters or stops at local craft markets can be arranged along the way.
