Day 1: Kilifi to Tsavo East National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Kilifi hotel. You’ll drive to Tsavo East National Park, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Kenya. Known for its vast savannahs, the park is home to a wide variety of animals, including the famous red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and cheetahs, as well as a rich birdlife. Upon arrival, you will enjoy your first game drive through the park’s distinctive landscapes of rolling plains, acacia trees, and riverine vegetation. Tsavo East is particularly well-known for its large herds of elephants, often seen covered in the park’s red soil. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll check into your lodge within or near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tsavo East to Ngutuni Sanctuary & Return to Kilifi

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy another morning game drive in Tsavo East before heading to Ngutuni Sanctuary, a private conservancy located on the eastern boundary of the park. Ngutuni offers a more exclusive safari experience, where you’ll enjoy wildlife viewing away from the larger crowds. The sanctuary is home to a range of animals including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelopes, all set against a stunning backdrop of hills and expansive plains.You’ll have the chance to embark on a game drive through Ngutuni’s beautiful landscapes, with ample opportunities to spot animals coming to drink at waterholes, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of predators in action. After a relaxing lunch in the sanctuary, you’ll begin your journey back to Kilifi in the afternoon, concluding your 2-day safari with drop-off at your hotel.
